Philip Hanno, MD, IC expert with the Division of Urology at the University of Pennsylvania Health System, gives an overview of the definition and recommended diagnostic process for interstitial cystitis (IC) per the newly announced, first-ever American Urological Association IC treatment guidelines. Dr. Hanno is chair of the AUA IC Clinical Guidelines Committee. The guidelines are scheduled to be officially released at the end of this year.
